Over months, I spoke to numerous CxOs and entrepreneurs and while discussing how can they grow their existing business or launch new business lines, I found organization culture was the last thing they spoke to me.
And this discovery is alarming because anyone playing for the long haul needs to get the culture right. Because culture is the DNA of the organization and as any medical practitioner would tell you – DNA has a key role in the growth of an individual. Similarly, DNA of your organization would decide how big your organization can grow and at times how long your organization can survive because any defect in the DNA is almost impossible to cure
If you look around you can find numerous examples on how a defect in the culture can lead to perennial damage to the organization. You may argue that your organization has rules and processes but that’s not culture. It is the culture of an organization that defines whether the members of organization
